2023 Conference Welcome Reception

NAGS is excited to announce  this opportunity to network with your peers in a fantastic venue at the Adelaide Zoo with the opportunity to share some time with the Big Cats (with dining and beverages included ) at the end of the first day of exploring ideas and expanding  your knowledge base whilst conversing with old and new friends.

As a highlight for the opening night cocktail party we invite you to discover and explore Adelaide by wandering along the first major shopping Mall in Australia and down to Jolleys boathouse where you will climb aboard the infamous Popeye and cruise  along the mighty river Torrens to the Adelaide Zoo. There are 3 departure times to be allocated. Once at the zoo you will disembark into the space of the sanctuary to enjoy scrumptious cocktail food and drinks while witnessing a close up view of the Sumatran Tigers enjoying their dinner.

Included in your full  Conference Registration; this is the opportunity to join your fellow delegates for a short stroll to the  Popeye and cruise down the Torrens to the Adelaide Zoo for our Welcome Function. A gentle meander of about 15 minutes back to the hotel by road afterwards.

WHERE TO FIND THE POPEYE

The Popeye is located on the Torrens River, Adelaide South Australia operating from two landings.

The main landing (1) is located in Elder Park, the wooden jetty is on the water, sitting near the rotunda and The Festival Center.

A one way trip will take you to The Zoo Landing located just off Frome Road, down the stairs closest to the city side of Albert Bridge.

There are 3 trips departing at 15 minute intervals and leave ON THE DOT  from the main Landing starting at 5:15, 5:30, 5:45

Event band must be worn for entry to the Popeye and the Zoo - no exceptions.
